Matt Payes joined RS&Co. as a REALTOR in March, 2017. He works with buyers, sellers and investors to navigate the complexities of our local market. Matt came to Rashkind Saunders & Co. after a successful career in Market and Consumer Research. In the 20+ years he spent in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries, Matt focused on two primary areas: how to leverage data to uncover market insights, and how to champion the voice of the consumer. Now, as a REALTOR, Matt combines those skills with his deep commitment to customer service. Originally from Harrisburg, PA, Matt graduated from the University of Richmond and also holds an M.B.A. from William & Mary (2009), where he rounded out his knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Negotiation theory. Matt knows the RVA market, and has lived in a variety of Richmond areas, including the Fan District, Willow Oaks close to the James River, and now the near West End with his wife, Ann, daughter ,Sarah Frances, and their 2 dogs, Penny and Bindi. Matt is an active member of his community and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, where his wife Ann is Executive Director. He also serves on the alumni board for the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at University of Richmond. When he isn't selling real estate, you can find Matt and family exploring Virginia and our State Parks including the High Bridge Trail, Bear Creek Lake, and York River.
